(this is a long post sorry lol)
a lot of us anas are headed back to school right now. some of you may dread being in front of calorific cakes, chocolate-stuffed snacks, and numerous other foods that tempt you to binge as you walk down the line to buy your lunch. but fear not! i am here to give you guys a little plan on how to lose weight efficiently, but still have the brain power to ace those tests in class.
~breakfast~
rules:
- wake up early and give yourself time to get ready. don’t be a slob.
- make this be the first thing you do in the morning: drink 8oz of ice water
- no breads, nut butters, butter, margarine, sweets, cereals, nutella, bacon, beignets, pancakes, waffles, meats, donuts, breakfast tacos, sandwiches, pastries, toppings, kolaches, pop-tarts, ketchup, scones, jams, jellies, or sugars are allowed whatsoever!!! this will fuck up your diet so goddamn much. perfect diet = perfect body.
- chew slowly. 20-30 times per bite.
some of the following are meals you can eat:
- 1/3 cup of oatmeal with half a sliced banana
- 4-5 egg whites and a fruit salad (one dollop of honey if necessary)
- protein shake under 200 calories (i love atkins protein shakes, you can take them on the go and they keep you full for a while)
- 8oz of fat free milk and 8oz of green tea (stevia and a dollop of honey, if necessary)
- a protein bar under 200 calories and 8oz of coffee (black only, skinny girls/boys drink black coffee)
switch up your breakfast each day to prevent it from getting monotonous. every meal you eat should be under 200 calories.
~at school~
rules:
- finish ALL of your homework the night before. never skimp on your grades. be a beauty and a brain!
- if you think skinny, you’ll be skinny. when someone offers you a bite of their chocolate bar or some of their pretzels, step back and think: “would skinny-me really do this?” of course not! kindly deny their offer and move on.
- be polite to those around you. in a few months, you’ll be known as the sweet skinny girl/boy.
- KEEP A WATER BOTTLE ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. i cannot stress this one enough. carry a 16oz one, always have it filled. make sure you have to refill throughout the day.
~lunch~
now comes your next meal. i beg of you guys, try to pre-pack your lunch. this has prevented so many binges for me when i see my friends chowing down on gooey pies and warm cookies. this is going to sound quite simple, and it is: your lunch can be 100 calories of any combination of veggies you want (no carrots, tomatoes, or beets though - stick to mainly greens). even if you ate TEN leaves of romaine lettuce, you would be around 30 calories! so chop up anything you prefer and throw it in a bowl. you’ll truly have a hard time eating all 100 calories of your veggies. if necessary, add ONE tablespoon onto your salad. no dressing or toppings. drink 8oz of water!
if you cannot pre-pack your lunch, go down to the veggies section and select a plain salad. pick off any croutons and tomatoes. do not add dressing. if necessary, grab an apple or banana while you’re there. deny any pies, cakes, pastries, or sugar-filled carbs. trust me, your jeans will thank you later.
~after school~
- as soon as you get home from school or other activities, make yourself a cup of green tea. one dollop of honey and some stevia if necessary. this will prevent sluggishness.
- kindly refuse any snacks or bites of food that are offered to you and head up to your room.
- drop your bags and get cracking on your homework right away. work ahead on any projects to prevent stress. you’ll thank yourself later.
- if you’re feeling seriously tired, take a cat nap. set an alarm to wake up when dinner is ready.
~dinner~
ah, dinner. the most horrific meal of all time for anas. don’t worry, i’m here to help you all out when in this sticky situation:
- drink 16oz of water 30 minutes before you eat. time this out. it will keep you full.
- if you can, serve yourself. stay away from all carbs. be careful on the meat. fill your entire plate with veggies! just cover the damn thing. it’ll make it look like you’re pigging out.
- if you can, wear long sleeves to dinner so you can slip bits of food in there when pretending to eat.
- eat your veggies!!! every. last. bite. these will keep you skinny. be cautious around the meats. red meat can be very fattening. if you must, down at least a third of the portion served to you.
- politely turn down any dessert served afterwards. no sugar is allowed past lunch. even fruit and honey.
make sure you get a solid night of sleep (i recommend more than 6 hours, but no judgement if you get less than that). and keep in mind, you do not have to follow this schedule to a T. it is merely a few suggestions on what helps me drop weight while still staying busy. stay safe and stay strong, my darlings.
